Everything in IncogSnap is designed around one idea: a conversation between two people should stay between two people.
Direct & encrypted
Messages and photos travel straight between the two phones over an encrypted WebRTC connection. There is no chat server in the middle to store or read them.
Self-destructing messages
Photos and messages disappear a few seconds after they’re viewed. When the chat ends, everything is permanently deleted from both devices.
Anonymous camera
Snap photos inside the app. They go to a temporary cache — never to your Gallery — and are overwritten with zeros before being deleted.
Optional Gemini AI enhance
Sharpen and brighten photos with Google Gemini using your own free API key. Your key is stored encrypted on your device, and AI is entirely optional.
App Lock & Panic Exit
Lock the app with your fingerprint or Face ID. In an emergency, Panic Exit instantly ends the session and wipes the room.

Create a room
Tap “Create Room” to get a random 6-digit code and an invite link. Share it however you like.

Your friend joins
They enter the code or open your link. The app fills in the code automatically and connects you directly.

Chat, then vanish
Send messages and photos. When you leave, the room and everything in it are gone for good.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to use IncogSnap?
No. IncogSnap has no accounts. You don’t provide an email address, phone number or name — you just create or join a room with a 6-digit code.
Are my messages and photos stored anywhere?
Not on our servers. Messages and photos are sent directly from one phone to the other and are deleted when the chat ends. Photos taken in the app use a temporary cache and never appear in your Gallery.
Can the other person take a screenshot?
IncogSnap asks your device to block screenshots and screen recording inside the app. However, no app can stop someone from photographing a screen with another device, so only share what you’re comfortable with.
Is the Gemini AI feature required?
No, it’s optional. If you turn it on, you use your own free Google Gemini API key. When you enhance a photo, it’s sent from your phone to Google’s Gemini API under your key. IncogSnap never sees your key or the photo.
Why is the app free?
IncogSnap is supported by Google AdMob ads on the room-creation screens. You’ll never see ads while you’re chatting or taking photos.
My invite link won’t open the app. What now?
Install IncogSnap first, then tap the link again. You can also enter the 6-digit code on the “Join a Room” screen. More help is on the Support page.
